Vehicle Control
The research that is studied is overall performance of vehicle propulsion. Another is how to control internal variables such as drive line torques and speeds for drivability and optimized gear shifting.Ongoing project

PhD students are Anders Fröberg, Erik Hellström, Maria Ivarsson
Navigation systems or collected data gives possibilities to utilize information about the environment and especially the topography of upcoming road. Utilizing this information vehicle speed can be controlled to minimize fuel consumption. Control of vehicle speed is achieved by control of engine, brakes, and transmission. The project aims both at mathematical modeling to understand the decisive physical phenomena and at development of real time controllers.
